This is the Glimmer Quilt. This quilt desired to be made. I knew how to create it from the beginning and it was a beautiful process, full of ease. All of the fabrics are either undyed, or dyed with plants and soils sourced from the island of Maui. The story it holds is of a moment when the spirit of the land I am grateful to live with showed me it’s joy and power. And then it unveiled a pod of humpback whales in the glimmer of the Pacific Ocean! It was a wild and beautiful moment of complete joy.
